Spring Preschool Portraits

Every spring I'm reminded of how far we've come when I get the opportunity to shoot at this preschool. This is where it all started 5 years ago - wow 5 years! I truly appreciate all of our wonderful clients, but especially those at OSA.

A little story...at our first shoot the teachers shared with me that it was impossible to get Miss B (the beautiful little girl in the floral dress) to smile and that she was very camera shy. We managed to get several darling shots at the first shoot and Mom was very happy. Fast forward 5 years and little Miss B is quite the model - you should have seen her moves - and not the least bit camera shy.

Time passes so quickly and I am so honored to be able to capture a bit of time for families that I hope they will treasure for generations but most certainly they will treasure during those teenage years :)

Enjoy!

Emily & Steve

This family is so sweet and so loving, I just couldn't help smiling through their entire session.

We are shooting their vow renewal in a couple weeks and had the opportunity to do an "engagement session" with them recently. While I thoroughly enjoyed shooting them, I think my favorite part of the session was when Jason was creating this first image and I got to hold their son. He was so snuggly and cuddly with me and ended up falling asleep in my arms. There's nothing better than holding a sleeping baby. Except for maybe getting to reaffirm your vows with the one that you love.

Enjoy!

Sweet, Sweet Baby Boy

I mean really, do I have the best job in the world or what? "It just doesn't get any better than this." (I got that one from my dad.)

Newborn babies...sweet, innocent, cuddly - this little guy is all that and more. I was so fortunate to get to photograph him at two days old.

Enjoy!

Boy Stuff

There are two things I didn't count on so much of when I had kids - sickness and crumbs. For the crumbs, I suggest crumb colored flooring - weeks of crumbs can go unnoticed - or a dog. For sickness there's really not much you can do and it always seems to strike at the worst times. I've been told that kids are sick 6 times per year - that's an average of once every two months. So...it's inevitable that we end up with sessions when kids are sick. That was the case with little Jace. When we did his original session, he just wasn't himself. Low and behold, he was sick. Bummer for Mom; sick kids are no fun. Good news for me - I got another opportunity to photograph these adorable little boys, this time in their own backyard.

We had fun with tractors, wagons, soccer balls and golf clubs. A good dose of boy for me, the mother of two girls. So adorable!!!

Enjoy!
