And That's a Wrap

Last year as we looked back on our holiday shooting season we decided to cut off sessions at the week before Thanksgiving because we felt that shooting on Thanksgiving was cutting it too close for Christmas. However, I had a few families call and ask specifically for that weekend for very good reasons. These families are our last three posts of the holiday season. One family wanted their baby to be a little bigger for family photos and two families needed to choose a time when their college-age kids would be home. And so, next year's plan was born...Thanksgiving Weekend, 2010 - Home for the Holidays Family Sessions.

This beautiful family was the perfect end to a great holiday shooting season. They have a beautiful home that was the perfect setting to capture their family portraits. I may sneak in at a later date if I'm desperate for a location...shh...don't tell them.

We had a great time with them and though it was a bit chilly I think they had some fun too. Jason got to talk a little football, I didn't fall in the pool, I'm pretty sure we were caught on videotape by their cinematic son and, oh yeah, we got some great images too...

Enjoy!

Special Time of Year

We had the pleasure to photograph this family the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They were so gracious, as they were hosting family for the holiday, yet welcomed us into their house to allow us to capture some images of them. Seeing them interact with their family reminded us what this time of year is all about. Being thankful for the wonderful blessings we have in our lives.

Enjoy

There's No Place Like Home

The morning we photographed this wonderful family, the winds were howling through Sac at 30 miles per hour. I was sure a witch on a bike was going to cruise by at any time, yet these troopers braved the elements to get some fantastic images. It was a great morning.

The Love of a Family

I've known this mom since 7th Grade...wow! that's a long time. I'm so fortunate to have her in my life and so lucky to be close to her family. I can't believe how grown up the girls are getting, they are becoming quite the little models. We had a blast in the park, and captured some great images! I love the one of Mom and Dad - they were watching their girls play in the leaves - pride, love, adoration - it's all there.

Fun in the Foothills

I was honored to meet this little guy and his parents when he was only 11 hours old and he's growing into quite the little gentleman.

We had a great time photographing him and his parents at his grandparents home up in the foothills. With rocks and sticks and trees...it just couldn't get any better.

Enjoy!

Creating, Exploring, Having Fun

These boys are full of energy and so much fun. We did their session at a local kids art studio and captured them exploring all kinds of creative outlets. I'm pretty sure their favorite was the empty dance studio where they could run, jump, skip, dance.....

Enjoy!

Fun, Fun, Fun - Part II

If these folks are looking familiar to you, it's with good reason. We photographed just the boys several weeks ago and then scheduled a follow up session with the entire family, including Grandma and Grandpa. It worked out perfectly. Sometimes, especially with young boys, two sessions is better than one.

Enjoy!
