Happy 50th Anniversary! - Sacramento Family Photography

We had the distinct pleasure of photographing this amazing family last week as they gathered to celebrate 50 years of marriage, 3 children, 3 more marriages and 5 grandchildren.  After a busy party the night before, we got to capture some great family images of them that we hope they will enjoy forever.

Michelle and Joe are such a sweet couple and we had so much fun exploring the Rainbow Bridge area in Folsom and downtown Sacramento with them to capture some casual engagement images before the big day in November.

Sacramento Family Photographer - Generations

It seems summer is the season for family get togethers and therefore what I call "opportunity" sessions.  So many times families are spread across the country so getting a family portrait that includes everyone can be next to impossible.  Lately, we've had several families contact us for family portraits at a time when everyone has gotten together for a special occasion or vacation.  This family was on their way to Santa Cruz (one of my favorite vacation spots, by the way) but we managed to fit in a fun family session before their trip.  I can't wait to hear about their stay at Dream Inn (a hotel by one of my favorite hotel companies, joie de vivre, by the way).

Sacramento Newborn Photographer - Sweet, Sweet Girls

Our newborns sessions include a mini-session at the hospital or as soon after the birth as possible and then a follow up session a week or two later.  This allows us to capture wrinkly newborn fingers and toes and the first few days of a baby's life as well have a more well-rounded session when the family has had a chance to settle in with their new little one.
