Mari & Rashede - Teaser

There's so much to say about this wedding - Mari and Rashede, and their families are so wonderful - but this is just the teaser...

It was difficult to pick just one image that represented the day for me because the depth of Mari and Rashede's relationship and their relationships with their friends and family made for a day filled with a variety of experiences and emotions. Touching moments, silly moments, exciting moments...but at the heart of it all were loving moments.

Busy, Busy

This is one busy family - 18 month old twin girls, an adorable preschooler and two fantastic parents. And when I say busy, I mean in the hour we spent together for our session, they were very busy. If you put these three kids in one spot they immediately scatter in three different directions, fast. Now, I know this is rough on the parents, but as photographers we had so much fun and if it wasn't for the parent's sweaty brows, you'd never know that they were working hard.

With all that chasing of toddlers and preschoolers it would be easy to get frustrated and bitter. Not these two. Check out this first image - it made me cry (which to me is the sign of a successful shoot). By the way they are looking at each other I can tell that someday we may be photographing their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by grandkids and they'll still be smiling at each other.

Enjoy!

One More?

Anytime you ask me if I'm going to have more children (we have two beautiful girls), you'll get an emphatic no. However, when I spend time with families in which the children outnumber the parents, I sometimes find myself thinking that one more would be fun. We had a great time with this family and I really enjoyed photographing each one of the kids and capturing their individual personalities.

Enjoy!

Sister Love

This delightful family just returned from Disneyland when we got the chance for a family shoot with them. The girls reminded us so much of ours and were really sweet together. Our speciality has always been individual shots of kids but the sister shot below (taken by Jason) is one of my favorite of the year.

Enjoy!

Family of Three, for Now

I love this family!! Sue is one of those people that lights up a room when she walks in and someone you just want to be best friends with even if you've only known her for 10 minutes. Bob is so patient and gentle and kind. And, they are the perfect parents to little Owen who is just a bundle of joy. He's had some special challenges but you'd never know it. He exudes joy and wonder and love and he's all boy. They are expecting their second soon and I can't wait!

We got some great images, especially in the fallen leaves and Jason (a Niner fan) was even willing to shoot the boys in their Cowboy gear.

A side note: Sue is a fantastic esthetician. If you need someone to help you take good care of your skin (or get rid of unwanted hair) she's your lady. Contact me and I'll get you in touch with her.

Enjoy!

Backyard Fun

We had such fun with this family last week. The two sisters brought together their families and their mom for a great photo shoot in a fantastic back yard. It was so fun to watch the cousins play together - it reminded me of my kids and their cousins.

Enjoy!
